moral panic has swept everyone up since it's an easy way to explain away why young people are depressed, alienated and in misery. they don't want to tackle the real answers (familial/community abuse, dying climate, idiot-fascist dystopia etc), they just want to go back to brunch

it's "think of the children!!!" until it actually comes down to reckoning with the real issues with society, a system that hates life, humanity and the young, then it's time to find the easy eternal scapegoats as prescribed by the christians
