As I’ve struggled w arthritis recentlt, I’ve had to change my approach to crossing to keep safer. I won’t even step off the sidewalk unless the walk sign has just turned. I can no longer step off at 3 or 4 & hot-foot it across. My caution has been an adjustment for the people I walk with, too.
