Experts are being questioned: cf. the COVID 19 Inquiry. Lewis' comments come from the "I feel that..." angle, & seem not to take wider implications into account. It's a dangerous approach that creates a narrative whereby we prejudge a response to future pandemics and keep schools open at all cost
