Where would you rank profiting off of other people's gambling addictions in terms of unethical investing? Better or worse than owning an oil stock or a defense contractor?
Tough one.
The people who designed our system such that everyone is forced to have stock in such companies if they want to save for retirement are the worst of all, but at the individual level I’d say the gambling investors are worse than other individuals investing under a broken system.
