Cleaning up my desk and I came across this sticky note. Understand, I have a habit of writing cartoon ideas and other thoughts on sticky notes. Eventually, when there are too many, I sit down and consolidate them into categories of story ideas or cartoon ideas. 1/4 #urbanfantasy #cryptids

I wrote this stray thought down which came out of nowhere but I was taken with the potential in it. This was long before I ever considered writing. When I started writing back in 2020 (with no conception I'd still be doing it six years later) one of the short story ideas I'd written 2/4 #cryptid

(which I won't go into detail here because: spoiler) had a similar feel to this dashed-off note. From there it seemed a quick leap to a world where all cryptids are real and Maggie Dawson who is a detective in the Special Cases Unit involved with cryptid crimes and issues. 3/4 #booklovers
