Thanks for posting this. I think he has failed to meet the moment for the most part but I would still like to think of him as a decent person even if he wasn't the greatest governor towards the end of his run.

We expect this cold disregard for good and decent human life from Republicans. But we should also understand that this is the true form of all Democrats like Jacob Frey and Tim Walz who resisted calls for police abolition and accountability.

Apparently only Tim Walz has contacted her or the family. Nobody else in an official capacity. Last time I checked, police departments, prosecutors and hospitals are supposed to follow mandated protocols for victims of homicide. BRB while I check what Minnesota mandates.

According to Minnesota law, @hennepinatty.bsky.social should have appointed a victim advocate to be in contact with Alex's parents, as soon as it was determined to be a homicide. To say nothing of if any next of kin notification was done by the Minneapolis PD, or how it was done.
