Lydia Yee, formerly chief curator at Whitechapel Gallery in London, has just been appointed the artistic director of a new, nonprofit gallery in Kuala Lumpur. The gallery, Muara Arts, will be dedicated to celebrating modern and contemporary art from Southeast Asia.
