I think Sylux is an incredibly weird choice for a final boss. Maybe it makes more sense in full context, but what feels like a random non-major boss in Prime Hunters being the big-bad in Prime 4 doesn't make sense to me thematically.
Then again, Dark Samus was just as random and campy so whatever.
