The DSA is a loose collection of groups, that effectively divide into two factions: “Left” & “Reformist.” Many in the Left faction of DSA really are that nuts. But few of them get elected. Almost all well-known elected DSA’ers are from the Reformist faction: Mamdani, AOC, Sanders, all Reformist.
