Japanese TV commercial for Hyper Lode Runner on Game Boy in 1989. Probably the most hype the puzzle platformer was ever presented tbh Despite not really being a Japanese game, it was a lot more popular there than you'd imagine #gaming #retro #Nintendo 🎮

Oh man all the things that tickled my brain about anime in a short ad for a puzzle game for the Game Boy Brick.

Goddamn, can we get a game that actually matches this vibe?

That might be hard to achieve, but your best bet right now is Sandland

Did akira toriyama made that intro ? Its very early dragonball /dragon guest like

Yay i was so close thanks for explaining ✨🐈

Yeah I have really annoying video game opinions, but you also get to see some dope anime shit sometimes. Life is all about balance 🙏

Lode Runner is pretty cool. It's no Boulder Dash, but I respect it 🙏

You'd be correct. At least, I hear it a lot more in legacy terms there than here

Animated by Hisashi Eguchi, Dragon Ball animator who later directed the Sonic CD opening/ending.

I was about to comment "This animation gives me Dragon Ball vibes" That probably explains why it reminds me so much of Dragon Ball.
