I used to not like tomatoes for my entire childhood and youth, and then I discovered some tomatoes actually have a taste. Turns out a tomato grown in a greenhouse at 52 degrees North is nowhere near as good as one grown in the open in a mediterranean climate.

Have these people never had a BLT? If they have had a BLT, was it missing mayo? You need the mayo layer touching the tomato.

Even a little 🤏 bit of tomato gives me really bad acid reflux! There's a way to de-acidify tomato with baking soda during cooking but it's not commonly done, so it's easier to cut it out. The ONLY thing that's worth the consequences is birria from the taco spot down the street.
