Tesla-SpaceX merger is a real Sophie's Choice for Musk now because if SpaceX acquires Tesla he has total control of the newco but it's kicked out of the index and the GAAP net income is negative, whereas if you do it the other way round you get to dump your bags but lose your supervoting shares.
