I started out as a root-for-the-home-team sort of fan. Vermont doesn't have a team, and Montréal was the closest one we could drive to. And while going to those games, I became an Andre Dawson fan, and followed him to the Cubs with my fandom. I switched loyalties to Boston when I moved to Boston.
