vortex_egg28 июл., 06:00AI isn’t exactly the logical cause of this, but it certainly lowers the bar of effort it takes to attempt to troll people to death
vortex_egg28 июл., 06:13The culture that has arisen/emerged/become dominant around generative AI as a social technology is more or less, “I can do whatever I want because AI, and have no responsibilities to other people”
Depressedkeanu28 июл., 06:15Why not create a good culture then? Why not craft a system of laws and regulations that prevent people from bowling over others because they have the technological power?
Craig 'VI' Slee: Wednesday Consultant28 июл., 07:07Problem is, laws and regs are the scaffold but they don't create culture. Culture comes from narratives and beliefs and values & as @vortexegg.com etc al consistently point out, many in tech still believe they can do whatever they like, regs be dammed
Depressedkeanu28 июл., 07:09I’m a materialist so I kind of think that culture and narratives are somewhat defined by the scaffolding.
Craig 'VI' Slee: Wednesday Consultant28 июл., 17:34I mean, no arguing there, but it's a fact that the two are interdependent. If you have a culture that gives no shits about the reason behind the laws and regs they get broken by those who can and the scaffold collapses
