Tax rates don’t need to be raised. Eliminate deductions. Corporate taxes alone will not “fix” the U.S. financial picture. Nor will “tax the rich”. Government spending needs to be cut as well. Military costs $1.0 to $1.4 trillion; Social spending $4 trillion. Plenty to cut in both areas.
