I’ll say I found the review to be racist just in a different way:

kambole campbell

weird and kinda racist undertones to Wilson's comments about the black characters in Nolan's The Odyssey imo I don't think any of the performances measure up to "black best friend", that is a projection

IDtheMIKE is probably running

I haven't seen the movie or even read her reviews, but it's just weird to me that she's footstomping over something that so many people clearly enjoyed. And at worst (so far as I can tell), Nolan's version is just "a bit dumbed down and unsexy."

Like I get if she wants to complain about it being a deviation from the source material. She’s a classicist. It’s going to happen. It’s all the weird social commentary stuff that made me look sideways.

And I get it. Its peak "the book was better" behavior, only she has skins on the wall. But man, Nolan helped her sell a million copies. Maybe be a LITTLE gracious

And I dont doubt her translation is smarter, more faithful, and more indepth. But when she started being movie critic and going on about The Following.... I mean, stay in your lane.
