wordpress is owned by automattic so i don't trust them people building blogs in the cohost shutdown aftermath seemed to really like ghost ghost.org I'm on octoberCMS and I think if I were to do this again I wouldn't use it, it's not widely used so information on how to customize it is sparse

I would probably stay away from WordPress because there’s so many security issues with it. I’ve ran a few sites with it and every one of them had some sort of infiltration with it. Why I ended up going with Squarespace when I built my business site because I wasn’t going to deal with that again. 😅
