It's been the exact opposite for me. I have been playing the steam deck more than ever since I got a switch 2 on release. I used it for MK for like 2 weeks when it came out, Pokémon legends and Metroid for a few hours. Now I played a bit of Starfox and I'm loving Splatoon, but thats it.
