On July 24, 2026, 144 UN nations voted YES to reappoint Volker Türk as Human Rights Chief. The US voted NO alongside Russia, North Korea, & Mali. France’s UN post said it all: the US used to be a beacon, now it stands isolated. Turning our back on human rights is a disaster.
