All good advice. And totally, what he did by hiking down is unadvisable!! I think it did help that he was a would nurse and it’s fricking incredible that he didn’t impale any organs or bleed one drop — or experience any pain (probably clear shock and adrenaline kept him going) — but, dude. WHAT?!
