Looking at the massive anti-competitive consolidation in the production, processing, distribution, and sale of food, and assuming that the federal government will continue to do nothing about it, you treat it as a market failure like Hayek would. Many cities already did this with electricity.
Will StancilPolitics aside, do people believe city-run grocery stores with deeply discounted prices are a good POLICY idea? What are they intended to accomplish, in your view? What problem do they solve? Would you implement them if not running for election? I'm sincerely curious in people's answers here.
