A new and yet unknown Ukrainian drone type has been used last night. Looks like a small version of the F-117.

Blended wing for enhanced endurance and potentially lower observability. From memory the downsides are it's harder to make it aerodynamically stable and it has lower manoeuvrability Vs traditional designs. Plane nerds please correct me.

These shapes are usually not stable by themselves and need automatic corrections constantly just to fly in a straight line So there’s additional sensors and electronics needed just to let it fly alone

As unstable as „normal“ FPV quadcopters. Flight computers that cope with that are standard and inexpensive, also for winged flight. Also, aerodynamically unstable configurations often come with better maneuverability.

The vertical rudder and tail at 90 degrees will hit the RCS. It's why stealth aircraft have a V tail or no tail at all.

I suspect Ukraine is working on V tail version, but whatever works is good enough to blow up targets while they perfect the design.

I'm not sure stealth is that big a deal for a drone. They already make a lawnmower sound. If stealth was a big deal you'd want to silence them. They are small, probably have a small image just from that and even if not, here's a lot more incoming. With an aircraft you have a human pilot at risk.

There are some unconfirmed reports that this is the Bravo drone: dev.ua/en/news/dips... I am not sure how reliable this is but it would make sense.

No f117 has a twin tail in order to avoid 90 degree angles. This one does not.

If they're going for stealth, they need to do something about the rudder. But perhaps that causes production difficulties.

Stabilisers could be made of thin plywood. As someone mentioned above. It’s a one way trip. Plus there’s no need for high g manoeuvres. Thin birch ply is remarkably strong and has some degree of transparency to radar.

Yes, but a one way drone doesn't need high strength internal structural members that will last thousands of flight hours, so the stabilizers of the drone can be made out of low reflectivity synthetic materials.
