I gave up on NYT's The Daily years ago mostly due to being unable to stand Michael Barbaro. Reporting? Dangerously naive at best. Vibe? "Wow..." Yesterday I learned he's been besties with Ross Douthat (aka 3 conservative lobbyists in a trenchcoat) since high school. So my loathing? Justified.
