Anyone who spins AES's victory after getting outspent ~9:1, including ~4.5:1 by AIPAC alone, as anything less than stunning is lying to you/is Politico

Fair - and despite the media coverage, from what little I've seen El-Sayid and his surrogates weren't the only ones throwing some pretty sharp elbows in a place not exactly famed for the Henry Jamesian gentility of its politics.

I wasn't paying the closest attention to the race—I knew who I wanted to win for what I felt were obvious reasons, but I'm not a horse-race person and I'm not in Michigan—then last night as the votes were being counted I saw he was outspent NINE TO ONE????? He should have been dead in the water!

Centrist Dem on MSNOW last night during peak Stevens cope said “is it really a movement if he only wins by 2 percent?” lmao

9 to 1 is insane. You might as well be invisible

Waiting with bated breath in MN to see if this feat can be repeated.

This entire thing has been wild, supposedly it’s the most money ever spent on this kind of race.

With that kind of money spent on ads the opposition can spread lies and mislead in ways that usually one cannot overcome.

AIPAC: "Throw more money into attack ads" Voters: "Ew. We hate AIPAC and attack ads. But we like leftists." Lib Journos: "The lessons we learned from last night: 20 reasons why AIPAC is perfect and flawless and democrats need to move to the right"

Like if Politico wanted to make a genuine case, Cori bush losing by double digits in a far more progressive year would be an example. Like yeah she got outspent, but she had enough money spent on her campaign that not even hitting 40% is embarrassing
