Also on trek cannon @driftglass.bsky.social 1) Pike’s enterprise has about 200 people? Kirk’s has over 400? Won’t you get the TOS look you are looking for? 2) Also the main cannon issues will be Arena where Kirk, spock, uhura, Scotty act like they’ve never seen gorn before. 3)…..

3) How do you reconcild Trevain since he shows up in SNW and spock interacts with him but in TOS spock acts like he has never seen him before. 4) space seed? kirk and Spock clearly know about Kahn in SNW but again have ignorance in TOS. 5) the metrons in SNW regarding the gorn vs. in TOS

You guys talked about democracy @driftglass.bsky.social take a look at India that suffered Islamic rule, European colonization but are a democracy with high voter turnout and 23 “official languages” not even getting into dialects. They make it work despite their problems and flaws

I really enjoyed the philosophical discussion of ‘Why are we doing this?’ It seems like a question everyone who contributes through podcasts, blogs and social interaction asks themselves from time to time. I guess the simple answer is: If not us, who would do it? #StrengthInNumbers
