I think, a lot of responses are a general evolution of taste and getting older - maybe going from one entrenched ‘this is what I like’ to being more explorative. There can also be a stagnation point of nostalgia. I guess my most freeing moment was ‘I can get an Avril Lavigne CD, no one cares’
