Possibly but from the leaks we have it's kinda even goofier and a grifter's dream- it's because he's a cool guy and marvel seemed to just not know how to handle that and kept trying to force the scripts to be about him passing the torch to a new cooler daughter
If only there was some age-old role in comics, where a hero had someone younger at their side to kick around with. You'd have kind of a dynamic duo. The older, more experienced character would be partnered with this...young ward.
But we gotta get rid of the old guy, not like this can last 86 years
