My state did some research as to why we were not getting a more diverse teacher pool despite a diversity explosion in the population. For social mobility, immigrant kids seek success as doctors, lawyers, engineers, etc. They don’t turn to teaching until ~3rd generation, *after* escaping poverty.

Also, it's going to have unknown consequences for kids' socialization. If they're expected to give the same respect, empathy, and deference to authority they give a human teacher to a robot, weird. And if not, it will probably only normalize disrespect & hostility to their human teachers.
