Cystic Fibrosis event at Liberton Golf Club raises thousandsA charity golf day hosted by the Liberton Club has raised £6,000 - £1,000 more than the target figure - for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. The event was the idea of member Harold Feather, whose grandson, Harry, was born with the disease a year ago. Unfortunately no winners could be declared due to a prolonged downpour which flooded the course (see pic) but, nevertheless, the objective was realised and added to a further £4,000 raised by Harold's daughter, Katie, by running the London Marathon the overall donation reached four figures.theedinburghreporter.co.uk
