Young Road Club cyclists in excellent formEdinburgh RC Youth Race Team has enjoyed an outstanding first half of the 2026 season with riders collecting well over 30 wins and podium finishes across road, track and mountain bike competition, alongside international selection for both Scotland and Great Britain. The season opened at Tour L'Enfer du Linlithgow in March, where Sarah McCormac won the Youth A Girls crit, lapping the field in the process. On the mountain bike, Eilidh Coutts, from Balerno, has been the team's most consistent performer across the whole season. After winning the opening domestic round of the Scottish XC Series at Cathkin Braes in March, she recorded back-to-back podiums at the first rounds of the Lloyds Bank National XC Series, and finished 2nd at Round 5 of that series to move into 2nd place overall in the national standings.theedinburghreporter.co.uk
