Considering piano lessons for these thousands of children I seem to have. Fb marketplace, search "digital piano". They are £250 plus used. All the actual pianos are free with long stories about their family history and how loved they are.

The actual pianos are probably good instruments. They are difficult to move (you should pay for moving) and need tuning at least annually. They are also lovely pieces of furniture. They are a good option if you have space.

The advantage of an electronic piano is tgat it is not as heavy and takes less space. Also you can plug in headphones when playing which may be important in a multi-person household or if adjoining walls to neighbours Good ones are at least £1000 new.

That's what we need, more space! But they're so expensive a keyboard might be better, I'm asking the lady who might be able to do lessons.

I'm mentally trying to get a piano in here and the only place I can fit it is the falling apart conservatory, which would destroy a piano very swiftly.

Yes. Electric is going to work better though you wouldn’t want that to get damp either.

I would need to measure, but I think I could squeeze electric into the front room but acoustic would be too deep and possibly too wide. Certainly a keyboard could fit because they don't need to be out all the time.

If your kids are young and just learning a key might be fine. Get something bigger/better once you’ve determined someone likes it and their level demands a better instrument

Yes very young - I'm going to check with any potential teacher first too.
