I re-read several of L.M. Montgomery’s Anne books last year, and was able to pick up a sealed ‘80s box set with the covers I remembered, so I had crisp “new” copies to read from. While at times they were a bit lacking in detail (possibly for modesty’s sake), I thoroughly enjoyed most of them.
