part of it could also just be exhaustion and the unwillingness to change anything for the greater good, instead of just going "I'm gonna fix myself and then go back to my life, i dont have the time and energy to deal with the rest"

True There is that little bit of back and forth between Wryn and Nobody where the former suggests looking out for each other. Nobody really is THE example of having given up entirely, resolving to just go through the motions. Especially when you see the ending cutscene.
