Me watching people argue that an administration they didn’t like was in charge of more school closures as a political point… when those schools were closed to save lives during a pandemic… It’s not the win or loss that anyone thinks it is. You’re all wrong.

Schools closed because we couldn’t keep them open. Many places tried and too many got sick, and the bodies piled up. Often, decisions were made locally, in response to practical difficulties in non-zero-C19 countries.

And… until we learned and made other solutions, school closures were needed, and the learning loss was an unavoidable consequence of a global disaster.
