I stopped creating any new documents in Google Docs and moved to Ellipsus. When I turned off the AI options in my Gmail, it stopped filtering out spam, and my inbox is loaded with it since. Switched my search to DuckDuckGo. Not looking back.

I was contemplating Proton mail. Looks like it also has an AI assistant that would need to be turned off, like Gmail does. But the Wiki on Proton Mail makes it look pretty promising.

Urgh, really? I thought the whole point of it was for scientists to have something secure and reliable.

No, I don't think it's opt-out. I use Proton and it's the first time I hear about an AI assistant.
