It’s not “Dems”.. any candidate can run. They don’t need approval nor is there an approving arm of the party. Get backers and run. That’s it. His backers - big shot leftist- knew and didn’t care.

"The Dems" are the victims of this. Platner was created by a group of PACs and political consultants with the goal of defeating and destroying the Democratic Party. It's working.
