That’s really nice. I love Tunisian crochet but I hate seaming, so I end up making more scarves with it than anything else.

Not a fan of seaming either, especially when you're joining squares that are need to be blocked because the different stitches and patterns have slightly different tensions, if you know what I mean. That's why I like my wackier designs, where each new piece is cast on the side of a previous piece.

Thank you, Betty. The recipient gave me the colour palette, which I agree is quite soothing. It's apparently called a Nancy Meyers palette- have you heard of it?

The colour palette is inspired by the movie director Nancy Meyers, who creates sets for her movies with cozy rooms in muted, earthy tones. Lots of people like to decorate like her sets, and the afghan I'm working on follows that theme.

Yes, I think you're right. Tunisian crochet is such a nice balance of crocheting and knitting, and I think that helps with the cozy-making textures.

Sue, thanks for your kind words. The afghan is going to someone named Sheryl, but a lot of people with names starting with S are gravitating towards that square. I think I'll do more of those when I know the name of the recipient.
