per my quick google, i think you did the exact right first steps of keeping it warm & leaving it where squirrel mama might find it. Step 2 is figuring out nutrition if she doesn't come back soon. but maybe call your vet, they could give you local wildlife rescue resources nearby

Depending on where you live there might be people who specialize in squirrel rescues that you can hook up with through a vet or animal control/shelter. Also depending on your location, it might be illegal to house a squirrel w/o a special permit (not that you’re at the housing stage yet)
