No it was associated with southern Florida and had a singer who was out of commission for a while after an accident and I know this was a huge deal but I don't remember who.

its the oddest amalgamation. The female singer and the drums are giving Miami sound machine, the vibe is definitely giving early 90s pop house )thinking Black Box - Everybody Everybody) and the rapper is definitely bootleg Freedom Williams from CC Music Factory.
