I lost a friend who died of altitude sickness after summiting Kilimanjaro just after his 40th birthday. Haven’t seen him in a few years, but he was a good person who genuinely wanted to help people. What a kick to the gut. It’s caused me to reach out to mutuals who went through the same program.
