I can’t stop thinking about all the plants and animals we’re losing in the wildfires. No one talks about it. People will only understand their value when they’re gone and it impacts them.

Yes to this.

They think god gives them dominion over the earth and everything in it to do as they choose. Most of them choose to destroy it because like the old gospel song says “This world is not my home, I’m just a passing through”.

I’m another that thinks about the animals in wildfires. What a horrible way to die.

That include our food systems. With the all the disruptions I would not be surprised if there are food shortages in the future. Our food systems need to be more wholistic and not separated out. That is not working.

It’s not their focus unfortunately. I have always loved nature and know that earth is our home not just the house on a street. We need to stop disregarding this fact and take better care. All creatures are here for a reason. We humans have spent too much time trying to control it….not working.
