Last year, Californians sent $83 billion more to DC than the state got back. But in Sept, federal funding for SNAP in CA drops by 50%. I’m not in favor of soft-secession, but this is a ridiculous (and deeply cruel) situation. There’s more than enough money to ensure people aren’t going hungry.
