Word of the day: breilw geiriadur.ac.uk/gpc/gpc.html... A less familiar name for a rose, as recorded by Sir Thomas Wiliems in his 1604-07 dictionary. It stems (pardon the pun!) from the Old Cornish 'breilu'. Another name for a rose is ffion, which is also a popular girl’s name.
