Erling Haaland and the rest of the Norwegian men's team are paid the same as the women's team. In 2017, they took a voluntary pay cut to allow the women's pay to be increased. The move came from the players' union, not management.

This is true for U.S. Soccer as well since 2022, USMNT/WNT same base pay & bonuses. Same appearance fees and split FIFA WC prize money. Men’s prize money is much more than women’s but they have an equal share agreement.

But the USWNT had to sue and go to court to force it. Big difference. And, the USWNT has been better than the USMNT for years. The Norwegian Women's team was also better than their national team. The women didn't have to go to court.
