Hey all! Returning from leave and want to know what you're thinking about the Vikings ahead of training camp. What questions do you have? Expectations? Concerns? Hopes? Dreams?
Last season was very hard to watch the offense, there is just no way its going to be a less entertaining side of the ball this year. Feeling pretty optimistic, not expecting more than a playoff berth, but should be a fun year.
I am not drinking the preseason kool aid (this time…) I get the Vikings are on a cycle of winning in even years in the KOC era) but a 10% chance of winning the conference seems fair.
RB room seems unreliable (mostly health concerns) with Mason/Jones atop the depth chart.
Are we putting too much faith in their 6th round RB, Claiborne?
Other than WR (and Special Teams) are there any position groups they seem set at or have confidence in? Every other group seems to have questions or depth concerns. Least confidence I've had in the roster in a while.
D-line/pass rush: Hargrave and Allen were only okay, but both are gone on the interior. Outside—Greenard is gone and he was a very good player. After Turner and AVG, no proven depth. Think they will try to sign a veteran—Clowney-type player—to provide depth/production? If so, opt for dt or de/olb?
For a team that most observers are skeptical about being a contender, it feels like there isn’t really many obvious position battles. So outside of the obvious qb question, what is the most interesting battle on the roster?
