As a substitute teacher I had to figure out a quick way to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit. As a non mathematician this is my (within a few degrees) solution. Double the Celsius and add 20 equals Fahrenheit. No good for baking(too loosey-goosey) but a way to understand European temps vs American.
