They live on the beach for ten years. Orestes and Electra are small children when Agamemnon sacrifices their elder sister Iphigenia; Electra is still unmarried when they avenge their father. The snag here is that on film, Iphigenia is depicted an infant — in the story, she’s at least an adolescent.
