So you know how Google search now sucks because of AI? I've found a workaround (that is not changing your default search engine--though you should absolutely change your default search engine). It uses browser settings and udm=14 (more on which at udm14.com). I'll post step-by-steps below.

Google Searchwww.google.comFIREFOX: 1. Open browser settings and click on "Search". 2. Scroll down in the Search pane until you see "Search Shortcuts"; click "Add" under the shortcuts box. 3. Add a search engine that points to www.google.com/search?udm=1... 4. Scroll up, change your default search engine to the new engine.
CHROME: 1. Open browser settings and click "Search engine." 2. Click "Manage search engines and site search." 3. Scroll down to "Site search" and click "Add." 4. Add site search that points to www.google.com/search?udm=1... and click "Add." 1/2 (last step below)
