Alright, let's straighten this out. I loved MTV back in the day. I'm still fond of its heyday now. But there are 2 very valid criticisms. First, music videos had been around for some years; MTV just gave them huge exposure, taking them from niche to must-haves for artists, particularly new ones. 1/
