General Strike US

So the No Kings protest has passed. If you went, how did you use this opportunity to build connections, that can actually lead to community building? Or more specifically, building to prepare for a general strike?

I passed out GSUS flyers in my town and connected with other movements that wanted to collaborate. Gonna stay in contact with these people in the future so we can work together more. C:

i think it's key to define what community building means here - is it just about numbers or actual organizing and planning, because those are two different things

So, we do not have a date set for a strike. We are looking to build a long term sustainable strike, vs a one day. There needs to be strike funds raised, food pantries stocked, mutual aid networks created. Like intense DEEP community building. Our Linktree has tons of resources: 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

I’ve already cut back on discretionary spend, cancelling Netflix, Prime, Pandora, HBO, etc and am boycotting specific companies like Target and Home Depot and supporting more local stores.

This … plus a general strike should have happened last June 2025. Before ICE raided Los Angeles, Chicago and especially Minneapolis. Imagine if people a year ago wasn’t so much comfort zone. But it almost a year, few innocent people shot on live tv, immigrants vanishing children locked up and a war

Yes! We need people to get involved with their local chapters, and start local chapters as well. For example, a place like Texas is so big that it could have MANY chapters. Check out our reasources tree for more info. A long term sustained strike takes a lot of prep: linktr.ee/gsusresources
